JL Audio 10W0v3 Ported Down Fire Enclosure, Single 10″

JL Audio 10W0v3 ported down fire enclosure for a single 10-inch driver: 1.26 cu ft net, tuned to 33.5 Hz, 18.8 sq in of port, F3 30.7 Hz.

Around 33.5 Hz the port does most of the work and output climbs several decibels over the same driver sealed. Below 33.5 Hz the cone is no longer loaded, so set a subsonic filter a few hertz under it.

With 18.8 square inches of port, air speed stays low enough that the port should stay quiet at high volume.

The driver faces the floor, so luggage cannot reach the cone and the top stays flat for cargo.

Listed construction: 3/4-inch MDF, with a doubled 1.5-inch front baffle, dado and V-groove panel joints, polyfill installed, terminal cup.
