Dayton Audio Reference RSS265HF ported wedge enclosure for a single 10-inch driver: 1.15 cu ft net, tuned to 32.5 Hz, 14.2 sq in of port, F3 32.4 Hz.
The 32.5 Hz tuning is where this box is loudest per watt. Protect the subwoofer with a subsonic filter set 5 to 10 Hz below that number, because the port stops controlling the cone under tuning.
14.2 square inches of port area keeps port noise down when the system is pushed.
Its angled back matches the seat back; the trunk itself becomes part of the acoustic path.
Listed construction: 3/4-inch MDF, with a doubled 1.5-inch front baffle, dado and V-groove panel joints, polyfill installed, terminal cup.
