JL Audio 12TW3 dual sealed shallow down fire wide enclosure for a 12-inch driver: 0.867 cu ft net, Qtc 0.917, F3 37.5 Hz.
At Qtc 0.917 the box trades some low extension for a small footprint and a punchy upper bass. Cabin gain in a truck or trunk helps fill in below it.
Firing into the floor adds boundary loading, so in the vehicle it plays deeper than the anechoic figure suggests.
Down-firing keeps the cone protected and leaves a flat top you can load. The wide footprint spreads the volume across the trunk to keep the box shallow. It is built shallow for tight spaces, so check the mounting depth figure below against your driver.
Listed construction: 3/4-inch MDF, with a doubled 1.5-inch front baffle, dado and V-groove panel joints, black carpet, polyfill installed, pre-wired terminal cup.
Your subwoofer's mounting depth needs to be 3.5 inches or less. Each driver gets its own sealed chamber. Tell us which subwoofer you run and we will confirm the match first.
